Thomas Hope as Collector and
Interior Designer

Coming soon!

An important new study of Thomas Hope's outstanding and lasting influence on Interior Design  will shortly be published here.  This vital investigation into this aspect of Hope's many-faceted life is being prepared by the renowned Philip Hewart-Jaboor.

As an independent museum consultant, Mr.  Hewat-Jaboor was the inspiration behind, and co-curator of, the exhibition 'William Beckford, An Eye for the Magnificent' held at the Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts in New York in October 2001 and at Dulwich Picture Gallery in 2002.  He was instrumental in creating an exhibition devoted to the equally influential English collector Thomas Hope which opened at the Victoria and Albert Museum in March 2008 and will then travel to the Bard Graduate Center in New York.
